When I was a student in Denmark, the TV magazines used to list a programme called Skadestuen. What actually appear onscreen at the scheduled time was a lottery, as Skadestuen covered any television drama from any country set in A&E. Tonight, devoid of the Radio Times and reduced to the Observer, I switched on Wallander expecting either Branagh or Kristin Henriksson. But no! There is a third Wallander, a Swedish version adapted from the books, which BBC4 seems to be showing at random. It is very strange. I do not see how I could have missed seven previous episodes.
I had an excellent couple of hours skiing this afternoon. I recommend skiing in suburban England to all attention seekers.
